Dual Thrust Propeller
The big-diameter, low-pitched, dual thrust propeller delivers instant power by redirecting exhaust gases away from the propeller. This reduces reverse ventilation and generates more power to the water to push bigger loads in both directions.
Higher Gear Ratio
The higher gear ratio of 2.33:1 can operate a large diameter propeller, allowing the outboard to push greater volumes of water, for improved thrust and better performance. The gears are specially hardened to withstand the toughest working conditions, for long-term durability.
Variable Trolling Control
Yamaha’s variable trolling control lets the skipper adjust engine idle speed in 50 RPM increments via the digital gauge. This allows you to set a precise trolling speed for better lure presentation when targeting different fish species.
Four-Cylinder SOHC Engine
Efficient and reliable, the 996cc, 60HP, 4-cylinder, single overhead camshaft (SOHC), four-stroke engine gets the job done.
Fresh Water Flushing Device
Simply connect a garden hose to the outboard's input port to flush out salt and debris without starting the engine. This helps prevent corrosion, extends the life of the outboard and keeps things nice and quiet for your neighbours.
High Output Alternator
The 12 Volt 16 Amp high-output alternator ensures that power is always available to start the engine, even after long periods of idling. Provides sufficient power to run an array of electronic devices.
