Total Tilt with Limiter
Yamaha’s exclusive TotalTilt™ function enables the full tilt up or down of the outboard with a simple double-press of the tilt button. It includes a built-in limiter which protects and stops the engine from hitting bait boards or other objects.
High Output Alternator
With up to 70 amps gross (up to 35A net), this high-output alternator delivers plenty of power to keep charging the battery even at low RPM. Provides plenty of power to run an array of electronic devices.
24 Valve DOHC Engine
The 4.2 Litre, V6, double overhead camshaft (DOHC), 24-valve, four-stroke engine delivers plenty of power to push large offshore boats.
Optional Bolt-On Digital Electric Steering
The optional ‘steer-by-wire’ electric steering system is smooth, smart and highly responsive. Its compact design creates a cleaner engine well and is fully compatible with Yamaha's Helm Master EX Autopilot and Joystick system.
Thrust Enhancing Reverse Exhaust
By redirecting exhaust bubbles away from the prop when under 2500 rpm, the cleaner water allows for better prop grip and improved thrust. Ideal for manoeuvring around marinas, docks, structures or reversing onto your catch.
Digital Electronic Control
Advanced features include: Push button up and down Speed Control and Pattern Shift for slower than idle speed trolling. Neutral Hold for engine warm up or charging batteries and Station Selector for selecting more then one helm.
